An Indicator is a series of data points generated by applying a formula to the data of a security.
Some formulae are relatively easy to compute, others such as
Stochastics are complex. Either way, the
formulae are used to provide an indicator in respect of the directions of a security, either up or down.
Of the hundreds of formulae in use today, Investmentimer.com uses a selection for analysis of a security's likely direction. By combining these with other proprietary models we produce Buy and Sell indicators on the charts provided.
Even though we complement the use of our Indicators with other Technical Analysis tools, we do not identify the exact low point of a security's price before it changes trend OR vice versa, identify the exact top before a downturn. Furthermore, sometimes the Indicators throw up a Buy or Sell signal which are quickly reversed. What Investmentimer.com strives to do is to supply warnings of turning points to maximize profits and avoid large losses.
